10.17.10, Ingolstadt: One of the most boring days ever!!!

Today, we just had mass. We died of boredom really.

Before that we attempted to get into this yard looking thing that had kiddie slides and shiz and a big trampoline. But the door to it was locked. Eugh.

(both from Steph)

We went to church at around 5.30 but I was a tad bit late so the two went ahead. When I got there, they told me that mass wasn't until 7 so we decided to snack at Segafredo along Theresienstraße first. We heard mass in German once more after that and the funniest thing was that Butch's monkey keychain(it's like a monkey that makes sounds when his nose or head or stomach is pushed, something like that) kept on making its monkey noises!!! During mass! It was in his pocket and I guess the sound button would get pushed every so often. HAHA!

We went home and spent a quiet Sunday night separately. School starts the next day so this peace was highly needed.

Tschuss!!!

10.16.10, Ingolstadt: Football Afternoon and Movie Night!

Had this for brunch today. YUM!!!

Fish with Bolognese sauce and Cheese on top.

I thought I had to go to the game at Asamstraße by myself but then Patrick said that he'd just pick me up and so he did! He was with his friend Edward(Eddie/Eddi/Edi/Eddy?) when he picked me up and he drove to the stadium while talking to me about being a student here, him and Edward working at Audi and pointing out some sites/places to me on our way to the field.

It was really cold outside and watching the game in the cold was bearable but not ideal at all. I remember watching games back home where it's so hot you need an umbrella. Here you need a heater and shiz HAHA! Patrick's team won 2-1 :) Yay for him!

Patrick then showed me more sites and shiz on the way home like the ice hockey arena and so on. HAHA!

Patrick driving his Audi. He likes Hiphop. He was blasting it in his car. Thank god.

When I got home, we three came together to watch Pearl Harbor. Butch had a no talking rule; a rule that Steph and I found very hard to follow! Steph kept on crying throughout the WHOLE MOVIE. I only cried when Josh Hartnett my love died. So sad. I even screamed so loud when it happened. I cried after screaming, Steph continued to cry and Butch started to laugh :|

After the movie, Butch who followed his rule of no talking went through his bullet point-ed comments. Weirdo. He actually typed his comments in his phone while the movie was playing... So. labo. HAHA!

Puffy-eyed from crying :(

I went home after that and ate this:

We were supposed to go out but the movie ended at 10.30 and it was raining and it was cold so we all just stayed in. I would've wanted to go out BUT F THE WEATHER!!! HATED IT!!!

Tschuss!!!

10.15.10, Ingolstadt: The Real Weekend!

The weather's been looking real gloomy lately and there've been some drizzling going on so we all made Friday a boring, stay-in day. I came over to Steph's place to watch How to Lose a guy in 10 Days. Kate Hudson is such a cutie pie and of course Matthew McConaughey was handsome :)

Butch got something from my house and I was pleasantly surprised to see that he wrote a thank you note on my whiteboard.

What a Gentleman! HAHA!

We were all supposed to pass by Norma's but then I got tamad and I was painting my nails too so Steph and Butch went without me.

We then went to my University's party at Harderstraße 27 but by the time we got there(a quarter to 11 or so), the place was so packed that there was a line outside. We had to wait around 30-40 minutes to no avail. When we were already near the door, this guy said stuff in German which we guess meant we had to wait for people to leave so that we could get in. Having waited for so long already, we just had enough and we decided to move to Maki.

TOP: Maki Stamp
BOTTOM: Suxul Stamp

Maki though was kinda empty and while I enjoyed electro, the two others didn't and we had to move to Suxul since for sure, one of its two floors was gonna play something familiar sounding. See, Suxul has a ground floor and a basement. They usually play electro-house and hiphop-pop on either floor. True enough, when we got to Suxul the basement was super packed with people dancing to both mainstream, oldschool and not so mainstream hiphop!!! Yay!

Us three(from Steph)

Olli and I

At Suxul, I met this guy named Olli who bought me a drink! Really nice! He even let me taste his which was a mix of RedBull and Vodka. They like mixing RedBull with their drinks here!!! Steph and Butch went home early while Olli and I talked. He mostly just taught me German. I mostly just forgot all of it!

On my way out of Sausalitos(Suxul and Sausalitos are kinda adjoined), I met some people who were really nice!!! I met Helen, Nicola and Mike, Patrick and Felix who brought me home. Really nice people! My third car ride! Yay!

Nicola and Helen; they're best friends I think(Stolen from Nicola's facebook)

Mike, Patrick and Felix(Stole this from Patrick's facebook also! haha! I didn't have a picture!)

I buzzed at Canc's door at around 3 am:) Really had fun this night! Meeting nice people is amazing!!!

I checked my facebook and saw that Patrick invited me to a football game for the next day(Saturday) and I really wanted to watch so I said okay! Yay!

Tschuss!

10.14.10, Ingolstadt: First Day of Our Weekend!!!

My day started with me eating this wonderful meal!!!

Torta

Burgkrone Helles

We then went around town and withdrew money, ate and walked more. Early afternoon, Butch and I went to the pockeet garden to chill. I drank half of my morning's beer(I didn't naman finish it during brunch okay?) and we just talked more. He was wearing the ugliest outfit ever. Much like Steph's outfit from a couple of night before.

Butch and ze pocket garden

His ugly outfit

On the way back to our apartments, I made Butch open his mail to check if we received our Sparkasse cards already! And yay! We did!

My Sparkasse ATM/Credit Card!!!

During the night time, we went out and we were originally intending to go to Maki. But it was closed:| So we went to GoldBraun instead which is a cafe/bar adjoining Lago which is a real bar.

Gold Braun

GoldBraun

Lago

Lago

We had a couple of beers at the two places and when we recognized the songs, we'd dance or bob our heads to the music. Very chill. We were outside and about to go home(Lago and GoldBraun were both closing) when 1. we saw this amazingly foggy view(OH NO WINTER!) and 2. were invited by a bunch of people to move to Amadeus which is a rock bar haha!

We went with them and I really enjoyed the music. I mean it was rock but I kinda like rock. Thanks in part to myself but also to my brother who kept on playing rock songs back home. There was a little bit of Nirvana, some Avenged Seven fold and so on.

This guy wanted to buy me a drink and I gladly accepted it and he started twirling me around, saying I was pretty and my only reply was: My friends are leaving and I have to go! Sorry! HAHA! Why ba? He was so kulit e. Eugh. Boys.

Tschuss!!!

10.13.10, Ingolstadt: Stress Day #1.5 and Intelligent Conversations

I had my interview at the Rathaus today and Marta and Dominik, someone from the Welcome Team and was my translator for the day, accompanied me. I met with them at exactly 9.30 am at the Rathausplatz. I don't have pictures with him but I stole this from his Facebook profile. HAHA!

He's a soldier. Kidding.

He's in love with someone. HAHA!

Anyways.

I was told exactly what Butch and Steph were told. Marta was there though to fix some issues with our papers but then really couldn't do anything. So after days of panicking and planning and excitement I had to receive news that unfortunately, our Amsterdam trip for the weekend was just gonna be impossible since without a residence permit, all travel outside the country was.

I had to tell Steph and Butch this news and they didn't appreciate it at all. No worries though, we just moved the trip to the end of the month.

At home, I decided to take pictures of my downstairs area complete with plant this time. HAHA! Really happy about the plant e. Why ba?

Very pretty I think :)

We then went to school to discuss a few things with Marta and since she's leaving we ended up taking pictures with her also.

Ciao Marta!

After saying our farewells, we were sitting and chilling at the lobby when this girl approached us and asked if we were the exchange students from the Philppines. Turns out, she's friends with Gia and knew about us coming. Her name's Heidi and she's really nice and we think she kind of looks like that pretty Asian chick in Lipstick Jungle. Also we met one more friend of Gia's whose name is Robert... or I might be inventing that name but til I get to ask for his real one again, we're all sticking to Robert haha. She also invited us to a couple of parties and this was one of them:

We then headed to Due Bar Cucina at  Bergbraüβtrasse after school. Butch and Steph hadn't eaten so they just ate for a while. Our conversation led to topics such as Marcos, Imelda, Carlos Celdran, raising our kids in an environment like Ingolstadt and so on. Really good talk though :)

Also, we saw some really adorable little boys who I swear are so cute, I died. I want for my kids to like them! Future kids! Far future kids! After marriage far future kids :)) The first totally looks like a model for the kid's line of Guess or Gap while the other one looks so bad ass with his shaved head and ear piercing!!!

We three separated ways on the way home and I went to Norma once more for some groceries. We kept to ourselves for most of the night but at around 11 or so, Steph came over for midnight snack and HIMYM. Butch was being bagal so Steph and I ended up talking about TV shows, cartoons and teen series from our childhoods. We covered shows from Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and the Disney Channel. REALLY FUN TO REMINISCE!

Butch finally arrived, ate and joined in the conversation for a while. We finally got to watch HIMYM at around midnight or something.

Tschuss!

10.12.10, Ingolstadt: Stress Day #1

This day was mostly a blur of stressful, hardly important things.

I was woken up by Steph at around 11 am or so to give me news about our application for residence permits. Among other things, we needed to give some documents that we didn't even have(issue with the dormitory contracts and insurance) and also we needed to have a ton of money deposited in our bank accounts. This was an issue since we were frantically trying to get permits asap in order to be able to travel to Amsterdam for the weekend.

Steph and Butch then went out to withdraw money but since I was gonna have my interview the next day pa(Wed), I just went around town shortly to run some errands. I found Butch and Steph at Viktualienmarkt eating. I waited for them to finish and then we all headed to school to clear up the residence permit issue. Point is, we were really stressed about the whole ordeal. Blogging about it stresses me out all over again. HAHA!

When we got to the international office, the person in charge, Marta was in tears. We don't exactly know why, but we have a hunch that she got fired from her job. Yeah. We've had two international office liaisons leave us already. She seemed really upset about the whole thing so we just tried to not show her how stressed we were also.

We headed home and kept to ourselves for the remainder of the day. STRESS.

Butch and Steph came over at around midnight for midnight snack though and I of course had to cook for them. Yet again. (photos from Steph)

Canc at my downstairs area

Nice chill end to a very stressful day!

Tschuss!

10.11.10, Ingolstadt: Yet Another Chill Day

I cooked Fish Palak for brunch today!!! It's a recipe I experimented on after eating in a restaurant in Munich that served Indian food. REALLY YUMMY! It's a mixture of spinach, curry and other spices.

While eating, Marcus, my friend from Berlin(met him at Oktoberfest) chatted with me in facebook. I commented on a picture of us saying "Can't believe we thought he was bading" because we really did think he was. Turns out he just has a girlfriend that's why he was kinda keeping to himself at the beginning of the night. Anyways, he saw it and asked me what "bading" meant. I just said "You know, like "mean" or "bad". HAHA! Whatever. He bought it.

We went around this bookstore along Theresienstrasse today and I found a book whose author has Tiptip's last name. I took a picture of it cause I thought her last name's really unique and apparently, not so much!

Super cool the sofa at the bookstore. Really allows you to chill!

We headed to school after to run yet more errands. On the way there, this store called Room had this shirt outside that you can sign(it was mostly a shirt store; think Team Manila). And this was written on it. Thought it was cute.

 Like Pursuit of Happyness lang

On the way back from school, I bought these plant thingies from Rosenrot. I needed to breathe more life into my "downstairs area" so this purchase was definitely a must. I've been meaning to buy plants for a while now so this was by far one of the most rewarding purchases I've made!!!

We then made Butch take a picture copying this ad we saw in a magazine from Maximilian from the day before. It was just too funny. We decided that since Steph had Felicidades. I can have naman Who Is Patrizia?

The Ad

Butch's version

Butch keeps on pointing out this salon called Love Your Hair Club which happens to almost always be empty. He keeps on saying "walang members yun club nila". We ALWAYS crack up in laughter when he says this so I finally took a picture of the place.

We then headed over to Norma's, our favorite grocery to buy a few essentials. Upon getting home, Steph and I watched two episodes of Gossip Girl. WE TOTALLY LOVE THE NEW SEASON! Steph had the ugliest outfit ever. Ever. So I had to take a picture of her in it. I die.

Very ugly outfit by the girl behind Felicity herself :|

Our neighbor from apartment #6, Peter Krajnak, doorbelled while we were watching and invited us to an inuman at the tower/community room at our place. We decided to go so we can socialize with our schoolmates and apartment-mates naman.

The door to the tower was locked though so we ended up drinking at Peter's place and there were just 7 of us there.

Attendance:
1. Peter - Slovakia
2. Mikhel - Spain
3. Marco - Italy
4. Panjee - Philippines
5. Steph - Philippines
6.-7. Two not so friendly girls from Romania

Steph went ahead sometime past midnight but I ended up going home at half past two since I was talking to Peter about how pretty the Philippines is, or better yet, can be.

Tschuss!
